Fine Artist Larry Lombardo, originally from Easton, Pennsylvania, now resides in central Pennsylvania. Throughout his early years, Larry received numerous awards and had art published in national magazines. Following his high school graduation, he attended the PA College of Art & Design in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. Interestingly, Larry then attended Lancaster Bible College and worked as a youth pastor. Later, he worked in the mental health field for a period of time. These experiences shaped and matured Larry’s creative concepts and professional perspective.
All of Larry’s paintings begin with a photograph or photographs taken while on one of his photography excursions. Based upon the photograph or a synthesis of photographs, this artist then proceeds with a painstaking drawing of his subject (sometimes drawing 9-12 hrs per painting). He labors to communicate all the different textures and utilize all value tones in his paintings to express the inherent mood of each piece. Due to his passion for photo-realism, his complex works take 40-70 hours from start to finish. This artist eye for detail is what sets him apart from others.
 Larry has a painting featured in the Orange County Choppers Showroom, as seen on the American Choppers TV show and has painted portraits for respected nationally none clients. Larry was featured in two national magazines in 2006: American Artist – Watercolor and American Artist – Watercolor Highlights. His one painting was featured in the February 2007 issue of "Watercolor Magic magazine" as one of the "26 Best watercolor paintings of 2006"
Larry is a former Signature Member of the National Watercolor Society, one of only 23 Pennsylvanians at the time. He was also formerly a Signature Member of the Baltimore Watercolor Society and the Pennsylvania Watercolor Society. Larry is an instructor at The Art Center School and Galleries in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania and can also be found doing workshops .
